The very first time I was introduced in this world, as said, it was thanks to this big guy Fernando. I still remember clearly, it was during pandemic, most likely 2020 and meetings were not allowed, but hey, you can’t really stop us from enjoying some wine no? I mean Prohibition in US did not already showed it enough? 😂😂 beside the jokes (better to avoid any problem with the law) small meetings were permitted guys, don’t start complaining! Only me and Fer were sitting together and the rest was connected via Zoom: a wine tasting online. With a Sommelier to raise questions and feedbacks. I was so uncomfortable surrounded (virtually) by so many wine experts, that I did not say a word.

We tasted several wines, the one I want to tell you about it today is Flechas de Los Andes – Gran Corte here the link at Vivino: https://www.vivino.com/wines/1939428

A bit of history:

Flechas de los Andes was born in 1999, created thought the partnership of Baron Benjamin De Rothschild and Laurent Dassault in the unique and great terroir at the foot of the Andes: dry climate, tempered by high altitudes. A magical place for Malbec (and not just for Malbec :D) Every year a team of Argentinians create a wine production following the pure France tradition using the most modern technology

As said, the wine we tried was Gran Corte, this is made from a blend of different grapes: 65% Malbec, 30% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Franc. 100% of production spend approximately 17 months into French oak barrels. It is a intense wine, very complex and elegant. It can be stored for more than 10 years or it can be drunk together with a nice Argentinan stake just next week end!

I hope you will try my suggestion and if you do, please leave a comment to let me know how it was!
